Add a Skill or Concept Exam
Skill Exams are a group of individual Office documents designed to assess a students skill using the live Office applications Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint. Skill exams automatically grade student's work and provide point-of-focus feedback embedded into a feedback result document. Feedback documents are automatically uploaded into SNAP and are available for instuctor review.
Concept Exams are comprised of true/false, multiple-choice, or other kinds of objective questions that test the student’s knowledge of chapter content.
Login to SNAP 2016
Click Courses and select your course from the list.
If it is not visible in the quick list, click All Courses and find it in the complete listing of your courses.
Find and open the SNAP Connect Admin Tool, usually located at the bottom of a course.
Below the location you want your exam to appear, click Click Add an activity or resource.
On the sidebar to the right, click Turn editing on.
In the Activities menu, click Exam. Then scroll down and click Add.
When adding a new exam, there are three (3) options from which to choose:
1. Copy an exam from this course
2. Copy an exam from a different course
3. Create your own exam from the item categories.
If you choose to copy an exam from this course click Copy next to the exam title.
For copying or creating an exam enter a name, description, and your desired settings.
If you are copying an exam click Save and return to course.
If you are creating a new exam click Save and display.
Click the Add link to access additional questions in the test bank.
Select the textbook category and section. Select the desired items. When done click Add Questions.
When finished creating the exam click Save.
Click Back to Syllabus.
If you choose to copy an exam from a different course you will need the Exam ID from the original course. The Exam ID is located on the assignments review page.
When copying an exam from a different course select the syllabus location to copy the exam.
To add questions to a new exam follow the directions below.
When copying an exam from a different course type in the Exam ID to copy from, click Copy.
